Cuisinart grill brushes recalled for metal bristle ingestion risk
Small metal wire bristles can detach from Cuisinart grill brushes during use and stick to food or the grill. If swallowed, these bristles can cause serious internal injuries requiring surgery. Conair has received 54 reports of detached bristles, including 3 cases where consumers needed medical treatment to remove bristles from their throat or digestive tract.
- Stop using the recalled grill brush immediately.
- Check your brush for model numbers CCB-100, CCB-4125, CCB-5014, CCB-6450, CCB-8012, CCB-W2, or CSBS-777 on the packaging or handle.
- Contact Conair for a full refund or store credit at Cuisinart.com plus 20% bonus credit.
- Discard the brush as instructed.
