What this means

The blades on certain DR Power PRO MAX30 walk-behind lawn mowers can keep running even after you release the control lever, or may start spinning without the control being engaged. This creates a serious risk of cuts or lacerations. The manufacturer has received 19 reports of this problem but no injuries yet.

Stop using your mower unless you've already received and installed a free repair kit from DR Power.
Check your mower's serial number (printed on the left side in front of the rear wheel) against the affected ranges listed at drpower.com.
Contact DR Power at 1-888-DR-POWER or visit drpower.com to request a free repair kit or schedule a free repair at an authorized dealer.
Do not use the mower until the repair is complete.

Hazard

The recalled mowers violate the mandatory safety standard for walk-behind power lawn mowers because the blades can operate without the blade control system engaged or continue to operate even after the release of the control, posing a serious laceration hazard.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using the recalled mowers immediately unless they have already received a free repair kit in the mail from DR Power and it has been installed. If the repair kit has not been installed, contact DR Power to receive updated repair instructions or schedule a free repair from an authorized dealer. Owners who have not received a repair kit should contact DR Power Equipment to receive a free repair kit or schedule a free repair from an authorized dealer.
