Merax Murphy beds recalled for impact and crush hazards during assembly
What this means
GigaCloud's Merax Murphy beds can fall during assembly or disassembly if not properly installed, posing risk of serious injury. The company has received two reports of beds falling and injuring consumers. The recall affects full-size and twin-size models sold online from May 2024 through February 2026.
- Stop using the recalled Murphy bed immediately.
- Check if your bed's model number matches GX000392AAK, GX000391AAK, or GX000383AAK (locate the SKU sticker on the inside frame).
- Contact GigaCloud Technology for a free repair kit and inspection instructions.
- If your bed is assembled, GigaCloud will provide a free professional installer to correct the installation if needed.

During assembly or disassembly, the frame of the wall bed can fall onto consumers, posing deadly impact, crush and laceration hazards.
Consumers should stop using the recalled Murphy beds immediately and contact GigaCloud Technology for a free repair kit. Consumers that have not assembled the Murphy bed will receive a repair kit consisting of unloaded piston springs, updated assembly instructions and inspection instructions. Consumers that have assembled the Murphy bed will receive inspection instructions. If the consumer determines that the Murphy bed is assembled incorrectly, GigaCloud Technology will provide the consumer with a professional installer to correct or complete the installation, at no cost to the consumer.
