CuberShop Magnetic Speed Cubes recalled for magnet ingestion hazard to children
CuberShop Speed Cubes recalled for loose magnet ingestion risk
CuberShop's Magnetic Stickerless Speed Cubes (model YJ MGC 5×5) come with loose high-powered magnets in the packaging. If swallowed by a child, these magnets can attract each other or metal objects and become trapped in the digestive system, potentially causing serious internal injury or death.
- Remove the loose magnets from the cube packaging immediately and keep them away from children.
- Throw away the magnets safely.
- Contact SKY CUBE HK at recall@cubershop.com with a photo of the disposed magnets to receive a $5 refund.
- You can keep and use the speed cube itself.

The recalled magnetic cubes violate the mandatory standard for toys because the cubes were packaged with loose high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other, or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
