Zimtown gas and fuel cans recalled for child burn hazard

Zimtown 5-gallon portable gas cans sold online have closures that are not child-resistant, violating federal safety standards. Children could open the cans and spill fuel, risking serious burns and poisoning.

  • Stop using the gas and fuel containers immediately.
  • Disassemble the spout, cut it into pieces with scissors, and dispose of it separately.
  • Write "RECALLED" on the container.
  • Contact Fastbuy at ZimtownFuelCanrecall@outlook.com with photos for a full refund.

Hazard

The fuel containers violate the requirement for closures under the Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act because the closure is not child-resistant, posing a risk of burns and poisoning to children.
