Stop using Potomac River Group RAPTAR range finders
Potomac River Group's RAPTAR laser range finders can be modified in the field to use higher-power visible and infrared lasers that pose a safety hazard. The FDA has issued a Class II recall affecting 62 units distributed nationwide.
- Stop using the RAPTAR G02 laser range finder (Wilcox Part #57200G02) immediately
- Do not attempt to modify the device or use higher-power laser attachments
- Contact Potomac River Group for instructions on returning or disposing of the unit safely
Hazard
RAPTAR units are capable of being field modified to enable the use of the higher power visible and IR laser pointers and the IR Illuminator.
