BD EpiCenter system recalled for unauthorized credential access

Service credentials used by BD technical support teams were accessed by an unauthorized person. Until BD updates these credentials, there is a risk that someone could gain unauthorized access to the system and its data.

  • Contact BD immediately if your facility uses an EpiCenter system
  • Do not delay updating service credentials when BD provides instructions
  • Monitor your system for any unusual activity until credentials are updated

Product service credentials used by some BD technical support teams to access certain BD products were accessed by an unauthorized actor. Until these product service credentials are updated, there is a risk of unauthorized access that may impact the confidentiality, integrity and/or availability of the relevant products and associated data.
