Medline CURAD Germ-Shield Touch-Free Fabric Bandages recalled for compromised sterility
Nationwide distribution
Stop using CURAD Germ-Shield Touch-Free Bandages
Medline discovered that bandage packages may have open seals, which can allow bacteria and germs to contaminate the sterile bandages inside. This affects all lots of CURAD Touch-Free and Quick-Strip Bandages in the 0.75" x 3" size. No injuries have been reported so far.
- Stop using any CURAD Germ-Shield Touch-Free or Quick-Strip Bandages you have at home
- Check the package for signs of tampering or open seals
- Throw away affected bandages or return them to where you bought them
- Use a different sterile bandage brand until you replace your supply
