A faulty motor connector in certain da Vinci 5 surgical systems may cause Error 23062, which locks the surgeon console's ergonomic adjustments (viewer, headrest, armrest, and pedal position). This could delay or disrupt a scheduled surgical procedure. The issue affects 144 systems across 30 states.
- Check if your da Vinci 5 system serial number matches the recall list provided by Intuitive Surgical
- If your system is affected, contact Intuitive Surgical Technical Support immediately to arrange motor replacement
- Do not proceed with surgery on an affected system until the connector is replaced
Surgical system Error 23062 due to connector1) Partially damaged "Potential problem with ergonomics: Disable - Retry " or 2) Failed "Disable Ergonomics: Viewer, headrest, armrest, and pedal tray position cannot be adjusted until da Vinci is restarted. Contact Technical Support to report the issue: Cancel-Disable" ergonomics locked until motor replaced; may lead to delay/aborted/alternate procedure
