Stop using Medline Full Electric Lightweight Homecare Bed
The hand control pendant on Medline Full Electric Lightweight Homecare Beds (model MDR107003L) can overheat and catch fire in rare cases, especially if the bed is overloaded, blocked, or has jammed parts. Medline has received 58 reports of the pendant sparking, burning, melting, or smoking.
- Stop using the bed immediately if the hand pendant shows any signs of overheating, sparking, discoloration, or burning.
- Do not use the bed above its weight limit or force it if it feels stuck or obstructed.
- Contact Medline Industries for repair or replacement instructions.
- Keep the pendant away from flammable materials.
Medline Industries has identified a potential hazard involving the hand control pendant and associated wires. In rare and atypical scenarios such as operating the bed above its specified weight limit, encountering an obstruction to bed movement, or experiencing jammed components/motor the hand pendant and pendant cords may overheat and, in rare instances, pose a risk of fire. Medline Industries, LP has received a total of (58) complaints associated with reports of pendant sparking, burning, melting, smoking or fire.
