GE HealthCare identified a rare condition in ApexPro CARESCAPE Telemetry Server versions 5.0 and 6.0 where a persistent network communication failure can result in loss of ECG and blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring at the central monitoring station. This affects 7 units worldwide.
- Check if your facility uses ApexPro CARESCAPE Telemetry Server v5.0 or v6.0
- Review the serial numbers listed in the FDA notice to see if affected units are in use at your facility
- Contact GE HealthCare for guidance on corrective actions or updates
GE HealthCare has become aware of an unlikely situation where potential loss of ECG and SpO2 monitoring involving ApexPro CARESCAPE Telemetry Server (CTS) v5.0 and v6.0, can result from a persistent NO COMM or OFF NETWORK condition at the CARESCAPE Central Station or CIC Pro Clinical Information Center (Central Station).
