GE HealthCare CARESCAPE Telemetry Server recalled for potential loss of ECG and SpO2 monitoring
GE HealthCare CARESCAPE Telemetry Server recalled for monitoring loss risk
GE HealthCare identified a potential issue where the CARESCAPE Telemetry Server (versions 5.0 and 6.0) could lose ECG and SpO2 monitoring data if the central station experiences a persistent network communication failure. This rare condition could prevent patient heart rhythm and oxygen level data from being displayed at the central monitoring station.
- Check if your facility uses the affected CARESCAPE Telemetry Server ARK-2250L (product code KSA).
- Contact GE HealthCare to verify whether your unit's serial number is on the recall list.
- Follow GE HealthCare's guidance on corrective measures or software updates to prevent monitoring loss during network interruptions.
- Ensure backup monitoring procedures are in place while the issue is being addressed.
GE HealthCare has become aware of an unlikely situation where potential loss of ECG and SpO2 monitoring involving ApexPro CARESCAPE Telemetry Server (CTS) v5.0 and v6.0, can result from a persistent NO COMM or OFF NETWORK condition at the CARESCAPE Central Station or CIC Pro Clinical Information Center (Central Station).
