Medline medical kit recalled for wrong syringe type
Some Medline EYE TRAY-LF convenience kits (SKU DYNJ21627P) contain syringes labeled as tuberculin syringes on the box, but the actual syringes inside are insulin syringes. Using the wrong syringe type could lead to incorrect dosing.
- Check if you have Medline kit SKU DYNJ21627P with lot number 26BMC538.
- Do not use the syringes if the labeling does not match what is inside.
- Contact Medline or your healthcare provider for a replacement or proper disposal instructions.
Specific Medline Kits contain Cardinal Health Monoject 1mL Luer Lock Syringes, Tuberculin Print, Sterile. Cardinal Health has recalled these syringes because the outer carton and blister pack are labeled as a 1 mL Luer Lock Tuberculin Syringe (Product Code 1180100777), but the syringes inside are U-100 insulin syringes.
