Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) or Liquid Chromatography/Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS-MS) are preferred confirmatory methods. Professional judgment should be applied to any drug test result, particularly when preliminary results are positive.
