What this means
Walgreens Lubricant Eye Drops (carboxymethylcellulose sodium 0.5%) in 0.5 oz bottles may not be sterile. The product is meant to be sterile for safe use in the eye. Multiple lots distributed nationwide are affected.
- Check your Walgreens Lubricant Eye Drops bottle for the lot number on the back or bottom.
- If your bottle matches a recalled lot (3166, 3172, 3173, 3175–3178, 3180, 3188, 3202–3203, 3205, 3209–3210, 3246–3250, 3252–3253, 3261–3264, or 3281), stop using it.
- Return the product to your Walgreens store for a refund or replacement.
- Contact your eye doctor if you have used this product and have eye pain, redness, or vision changes.
