Hartley's Potato Chip Company is recalling 4.5 oz and 2.5 oz bags of Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips because they contain milk (lactose) that is not listed on the label. The milk is in a seasoning ingredient used during manufacturing. This poses a serious risk to people with milk allergies or lactose intolerance.
- Check your pantry for Hartley's Salt & Vinegar Potato Chips with sell-by dates of October 7, 2013 or October 30, 2013.
- Do not eat the chips if you or anyone in your household has a milk allergy or lactose intolerance.
- Throw away the affected bags or return them to the store where you bought them.
- Contact Hartley's Potato Chip Company if you have questions.
