Stop using Lucerne 2% Cottage Cheese
Lucerne 2% Cottage Cheese (24 oz. tubs, UPC 0 21130 07662 8) may contain a small stainless steel spring. The spring could be present in the product and may pose a choking or injury risk if ingested or if broken pieces become sharp. No injuries have been reported.
- Do not eat Lucerne 2% Cottage Cheese with a "Best Before" date of March 31, 2026 or earlier from this recall.
- Check your refrigerator for affected product sold in Alaska, Idaho, California, Oregon, or Washington.
- Discard the product or return it to the store where you purchased it.
- Contact Lucerne Foods or your retailer with questions.
Hazard
Metal fragments. The potential foreign object is a hard, metal (stainless steel), curled spring. Dimensions of a similar spring measure 2.27mm in cross-sectional thickness and 25.38mm in coil width. Spring ends are not sharp but may be sharp if broken/ cut.

There are no graphics on the distribution unit. The cases are broken down and product is merchandised as a single 24 oz.
