Kian Pee Wan capsules, sold online as a dietary supplement for weight gain and appetite, contain two hidden prescription drugs: dexamethasone (a corticosteroid) and cyproheptadine (an antihistamine). These drugs were not listed on the label. Taking these undeclared drugs can cause serious health problems including infections, high blood sugar, psychiatric issues, and withdrawal symptoms if stopped abruptly.
