Pedigree wet dog food recalled for metal and plastic contamination
Mars Petcare discovered that two lots of Pedigree High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor wet dog food were fraudulently diverted into stores after being sent for destruction due to quality concerns. The affected cans may contain pieces of sharp metal and plastic that could harm dogs if eaten.
- Check your Pedigree High Protein wet dog food cans for lot codes 613C3KKCFC or 613C1KKCFC.
- Do not feed the recalled product to your dog.
- Contact Pedigree at 1-800-525-5273 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–8 PM CST, Sat–Sun 8 AM–4 PM CST) or visit pedigree.com/update for a free replacement.
- If your dog ate the recalled food and you have concerns, contact your veterinarian.
