Battery power loss risk in certain high-voltage batteries

American Battery Solutions Inc. is recalling certain Proliance High Voltage Batteries (part number 20000114-AB) because the battery contactor may fail to close. This can cause a sudden loss of drive power, which increases crash risk.

  • Check if you own a Proliance High Voltage Battery with part number 20000114-AB
  • Watch for a recall notification letter arriving by June 26, 2026
  • Call ABS customer service at 1-248-462-6364 if you have questions or don't receive a letter
  • Schedule the free battery contactor replacement when notified
Hazard

A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy
ABS will replace the battery contactors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by June 26, 2026. Owners may contact ABS customer service at 1-248-462-6364.
