Hiab Waltco liftgates recalled for deck pin breakage risk
Certain Hiab Waltco MDV series liftgates have deck pins that may break, causing the liftgate platform to fall unexpectedly. This can result in injury to nearby workers or bystanders.
- Contact Hiab customer service at (440) 601-8852 to arrange a free inspection and repair
- Do not operate the liftgate until the deck pins have been replaced
Hazard
A liftgate that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury.
Remedy
Hiab will inspect the platform bushings and hydraulic systems and replace the deck pins, free of charge. Hiab will work with vehicle manufacturers to repair the vehicles. Owners may contact Hiab customer service at (440) 601-8852.
