Nissan recalled for instrument panel gear display failure

A hardware failure in certain Nissan transmissions can prevent the instrument panel from displaying which gear the vehicle is in. This missing information increases the risk of a crash.

  • Check your mail for a recall notice from Nissan after August 19, 2026.
  • Contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 to confirm if your vehicle is affected.
  • Schedule a dealer appointment for a free inspection and transmission control valve assembly replacement if needed.
Hazard

An instrument panel display that does not show critical information, such as gear selection, increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the transmission control valve assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 19, 2026. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is PD199.
