Odyne Systems hybrid batteries recalled for fire risk
Certain Odyne hybrid systems (part numbers evAPU and G2V9) contain high-voltage batteries that may fail, which could increase the risk of fire. The batteries are part of a Webasto battery pack that uses Samsung SDI cells.
- Contact your Odyne customer service representative to schedule a free battery monitoring software installation.
- Do not operate the hybrid system until the software has been installed if you notice any unusual battery behavior.
Hazard
Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Odyne will work with Webasto to install battery monitoring software, free of charge. Notification schedule has not yet been determined. Owners may contact their respective Odyne customer service representative.
