Roadmaster tow bars recalled for potential hitch separation and crash risk

What this means

The roll pin that secures the T-bolt to the stinger on certain Roadmaster tow bars may loosen over time. If the pin fails, the tow bar can separate from the hitch receiver, causing the towed vehicle to detach and increasing crash risk.

  • Check if you own a Roadmaster Blackhawk All Terrain, Falcon 2, Falcon All Terrain, Falcon 3HD, Liberty, Sterling, or Nighthawk tow bar.
  • Contact Roadmaster customer service at 1-800-669-9690 with your vehicle information.
  • Have a dealer install a security band or replace the T-bolt assembly, free of charge.
  • Watch for owner notification letters arriving in October 2026.
