Caldarello Italian Sausage recalled for undeclared MSG and missing label information
Do not eat Caldarello Italian Sausage
4G Meat Processing LLC is recalling approximately 1,288 pounds of Caldarello pork and turkey Italian Sausage because the individual packages are missing ingredient statements and safe handling instructions. The products contain MSG (monosodium glutamate) that was not declared on the package label. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check your freezer for Caldarello Italian Sausage in 8-pound cases with case codes 335000 (pork) or 437800 (turkey) produced between June 28 and December 20, 2016.
- Do not eat the sausage if the individual 1-pound packages lack ingredient and safe handling labels.
- Throw away affected packages or return them to the retailer.
