Throw out Interstate Meat ground beef
Interstate Meat Dist. Inc. is recalling approximately 28,356 pounds of ground beef products produced on December 20, 2021, that may contain E. coli O157:H7 bacteria. The contamination was discovered after a retail package tested positive in a laboratory. The affected products were distributed to stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
- Check if you bought ground beef with establishment number "EST. 965" on or near the USDA mark of inspection or time stamp
- Do not eat the product—throw it away or return it to the store
- Cook all ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F using a food thermometer
- Contact your doctor if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or signs of kidney problems (bruising, pale skin, decreased urination)
