Don't eat recalled chili products with peanut allergen

Fresh Food Manufacturing recalled approximately 35,865 pounds of chili products sold under the Giant Eagle Market District and Good Cents brands because they contain peanuts that were not declared on the label. The cumin spice used in the chili was contaminated with peanut allergen. Products were produced between November 21, 2014 and December 30, 2014 and sold in Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.

  • Check your home for 24-oz cups or 5-lb bags of Giant Eagle Market District or Good Cents chili with "Sell By" dates of 12/21/14, 1/1/15, 1/11/15, 1/21/15, 1/29/15, 1/16/15, 1/26/15, or 2/3/15
  • Do not eat the product if you have a peanut allergy
  • Throw away recalled products or return them to the store
  • Call Giant Eagle at 1-800-553-2324 with questions
