Don't eat Golden Gate Meat Company pork sausage

Golden Gate Meat Company (sold under the "Ernesto's" brand) pork sausage was mislabeled and does not mention that the casings contain lamb. This poses a serious risk to people with lamb protein allergies. The affected sausage was produced between July 1, 2015 and January 7, 2016 and distributed to institutional customers in California.

  • Do not eat this product if you have a lamb allergy
  • Throw away the sausage or return it to where you bought it
  • Check product labels for establishment number EST. 9027
  • Call your doctor if you have eaten this product and experience an allergic reaction
