Check Kayem chicken sausage packages for mislabeling

Kayem Foods recalled approximately 22,182 pounds of Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage produced on November 4, 2015, because the products have incorrect nutrition information printed on them and contain pork casings that are not listed on the label. The pork casing is not declared and could cause allergic reactions in people with pork protein allergies.

  • Check your freezer for Kayem Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage in 12-ounce vacuum-sealed packages with the code '308 BW12 USE/FRZ BY FEB 7, 2016'
  • Do not eat the product if you have a pork allergy
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Call Kayem Foods customer service at 1-800-426-6100 with questions
