US Foods in Blasdell, New York is recalling approximately 700 pounds of beef cut strips for fajitas because the packages are mislabeled and do not declare peanuts as an ingredient. The beef strips contain peanuts due to potential contamination in a cumin spice blend used to prepare them. This poses a serious risk to anyone with a peanut allergy.
- Check your freezer for beef fajita strips with EST. 7817 on the USDA inspection seal, produced on November 25, December 10, or December 15, 2014.
- Do not eat the product if you or anyone in your home has a peanut allergy.
- Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it.
- Contact your doctor if you or a family member ate this product and have symptoms of an allergic reaction.
