Wegmans Organic Ground Beef recalled for possible plastic contamination

Do not eat Wegmans Organic Ground Beef

J & G Foods, Inc. recalled approximately 33,948 pounds of Wegmans Organic 93% Lean/7% Fat Grass-Fed Ground Beef produced on December 23, 2014, because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The problem was discovered after consumers complained to retailers that they found flexible plastic pieces in the product. No illnesses have been reported.

• Check if you have this product at home (look for 'EST. 8466' on the package and 'USE OR FREEZE BY 01/16/15')
• Do not eat the product
• Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it
• Contact your doctor if you consumed this product and have concerns
