Olymel pork products recalled for import inspection violation

Do not eat Olymel pork products

Olymel S.E.C./L.P. recalled approximately 4,618 pounds of raw pork products (belly, back ribs, leg, sirloin, and pork feet) because they were imported from Canada without proper U.S. import inspection. The products were produced between January 22 and February 5, 2018, and were distributed to commercial establishments and restaurants in Oregon and Washington, with some exported to Japan.

  • Do not eat these products
  • Throw away the pork or return it to where you bought it
  • Check your freezer for Olymel or Willamette Valley Meat Company pork with the box codes and 'best by' dates listed in the recall notice
  • Call your doctor if you or anyone in your household ate these products and feels sick
