Boyd Specialties jerky products recalled for possible Listeria contamination
Throw out Boyd Specialties jerky products
Boyd Specialties, LLC recalled approximately 1,634 pounds of ready-to-eat jerky products produced on February 23, 2022, because they may contain Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The contamination was discovered during routine USDA testing. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Check your pantry for jerky with establishment number "EST. 40269" on the USDA inspection mark.
- Do not eat the product. Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it.
- If you are pregnant, elderly, or have a weakened immune system and ate this jerky, watch for fever, muscle aches, or stiff neck within two months and contact your doctor.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 with questions (10 a.m.–6 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday).
