Hoyo Beef Sambosa recalled for possible thin metal wire contamination

Hoyo SBC is recalling approximately 1,046 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat beef sambosa (a pastry with ground beef, onions, and spices) because they may contain thin metal wire or similar foreign material. The contamination was discovered when a school kitchen staff member found metal on the outside of the product during preparation. The affected products were produced between December 30, 2022, and February 21, 2023, and were sent to schools in Minnesota.
- Do not serve or eat Hoyo Beef Sambosa with lot codes N341-S or N333-S
- Throw away the product or return it to the store
- Contact your school or food service provider if you have this product
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 if you have questions
