MF Meats raw meat products recalled for non-food mineral oil contamination
Do not eat MF Meats raw meat products
MF Meats recalled approximately 93,277 pounds of raw meat products produced between November 26, 2023, and February 16, 2024, because they may be contaminated with non-food-grade seal mineral oil. The oil was applied to food-contact surfaces during processing. The contamination was discovered after four restaurants reported a chemical taste in the products.
- Check your freezer or refrigerator for MF Meats raw meat with establishment number 'EST. 569' and Julian dates 330–365 or 1–47
- Do not eat or serve these products
- Throw away the affected meat or return it to where you bought it
- Call your doctor if you experience any illness after eating this product
