Lee's Hot Pot Base recalled for ineligible beef imported from China
Throw out Lee's Hot Pot Base products
BC Food LA recalled about 1,643 pounds of Lee's brand hot pot base products containing beef tallow imported from China. China is not approved by the USDA to export beef to the United States. The products do not have a USDA inspection mark and were sold in California, Nevada, and Oklahoma.
- Do not eat Lee's Hot Pot Base products (52°, 45°, or 36° Da Zhuang varieties in 10.5-oz packages).
- Throw away any packages you have or return them to where you bought them.
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 with questions.
