Don't eat Berks Heat & Serve Knockwurst

Berks Packing Co. recalled about 1,320 pounds of beef knockwurst links because the labels were incorrect. The packages should have disclosed that the product contains pork and the additive erythorbate, but did not. The affected products were sold in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, West Virginia, Virginia, and Delaware, with a sell-by date of March 11, 2016.

  • Do not eat Berks Heat & Serve Knockwurst 1-lb. packages with a March 11, 2016 sell-by date
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Call your doctor if you or a family member become ill after eating this product
