Marketside Butcher and Thomas Farms ground beef recalled for E. coli O157:H7

Do not eat Marketside or Thomas Farms ground beef

Lakeside Refrigerated Services recalled approximately 42,922 pounds of ground beef and beef patties produced on June 1, 2020, because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The affected products were sold under the Marketside Butcher and Thomas Farms brands at retailers nationwide. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat ground beef or patties labeled Marketside Butcher or Thomas Farms with production dates around June 1, 2020
  • Check your freezer for products with lot codes P-53298-82, P-53934-28, P53929-70, P53944-10, P53937-45, P53935-25, or P53930-18
  • Throw away or return recalled products to the store where you bought them
  • Wash your hands, utensils, and surfaces that may have touched the product
  • Call a doctor if you develop diarrhea, bloody stools, severe stomach cramps, or decreased urination
