Rancho Feeding Corporation in California processed approximately 8.7 million pounds of beef from sick and unhealthy animals without required federal inspection. The uninspected meat is unsafe and has been recalled nationwide. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Check your freezer for beef products with establishment number Est. 527 and box codes ending in 3 or 4, produced between January 1, 2013 and January 7, 2014
- Do not eat these products; throw them away or return them to the store
- If you consumed this meat and feel sick, contact your doctor
