JBS USA imported boneless beef recalled for E. coli O157:H7 contamination

Do not use JBS USA imported boneless beef

JBS USA is recalling approximately 4,860 pounds of imported boneless beef products that may contain E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacterium. The raw, frozen beef was imported from Australia in November 2020 and sent to distributors and processors in New York and Pennsylvania. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • If you received this product as a distributor or processor, do not use it.
  • If you have this beef in your freezer, do not cook or eat it—throw it away.
  • Seek emergency medical care if you develop bloody diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, or decreased urine output within 2–8 days.
  • Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 with questions.
