Check OvaEasy egg products for Salmonella risk

Nutriom LLC in Washington recalled approximately 226,710 pounds of dehydrated egg products that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were sold under brand names including OvaEasy, Wise Company, Egg Crystal, and eFoods, and were distributed nationwide, to military bases, and to Canada. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Check if you have any OvaEasy, Wise Company, Egg Crystal, or eFoods dehydrated egg products at home.
  • If you have products matching the recalled lot codes or Julian dates listed (produced between February 28, 2013 and February 8, 2014), do not use them.
  • Discard recalled products or return them to the place of purchase.
  • Contact Nutriom LLC or the USDA FSIS if you have questions about specific product dates.
