Don't eat Hormel Dinty Moore Beef Stew

Hormel Foods recalled about 450 pounds of Dinty Moore Hearty Meals Beef Stew (15-oz cans with Best By date of February 2019) because pieces of lantern material were found in the product during inspection. The affected cans were produced on January 26, 2016, and distributed to Kroger stores in Texas and Louisiana. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your pantry for 15-oz cans of Dinty Moore Hearty Meals No Preservatives Beef Stew with Best By date of February 2019 and plant code EST. 199G.
  • Do not eat the product.
  • Throw away the cans or return them to the store where you bought them.
  • Call Hormel at (877) 446-7635 if you have questions.
