Do not eat Bourgeois Smokehouse andouille sausage

Bourgeois Smokehouse recalled approximately 100 pounds of ready-to-eat smoked andouille sausage produced on May 12, 2025, after testing confirmed Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The products were sold at Rouses Market locations in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi starting May 13, 2025. No illnesses have been reported so far.

  • Do not eat this product if you purchased it from Rouses Market.
  • Throw away the sausage or return it to Rouses Market.
  • If you are pregnant, elderly, or have a weakened immune system and ate this product, contact your doctor immediately if you develop fever, muscle aches, or headache within two months.
  • Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854 with questions.
