Do not eat Smithfield bacon topping products

Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp. recalled ready-to-eat bacon topping products sold under multiple brand names (Smithfield, Golden Crisp Patrick Cudahy, and Member's Mark) because they may contain metal fragments. The products were made between mid-February and early March 2022. The company discovered the problem after receiving a customer complaint about finding metal in the product.

  • Do not eat these bacon topping products if you have them at home
  • Throw them away or return them to the store where you bought them
  • Check your freezer and pantry for the affected lot codes and SKUs listed in the recall
  • Call Smithfield Consumer Affairs at 1-844-342-2596 with questions
