George's chicken breast pieces recalled for undeclared soy protein and MSG allergens
Stop using George's chicken breast pieces
George's Inc. in Arkansas recalled about 29,200 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast pieces because they contain soy protein and MSG (monosodium glutamate), but the label does not list these ingredients. The mislabeled product was distributed to wholesalers in Tennessee and Iowa. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check for George's boneless skinless breast pieces with rib meat (box code 4790) produced December 21–23, 2013
- Look for establishment number P-13584 on the USDA inspection mark on the carton
- Do not eat the product if you have a soy or MSG allergy
- Return or throw away the recalled chicken
- Call your doctor if you have an allergic reaction
