Winter Gardens Quality Foods chicken salad recalled for plastic and wood contamination
Don't eat Winter Gardens chicken salad
Winter Gardens Quality Foods recalled approximately 3,710 pounds of Southwest Chicken Salad because the product may contain pieces of plastic and wood. The contamination happened when a supplier's oil container had a defect that allowed plastic to break off into the salad during production. No illnesses have been reported.
- Check if you bought Southwest Chicken Salad in 10-lb plastic containers with "USE BY" dates of 2/18/16, 2/19/16, 2/23/16, 2/25/16, 2/26/16, or 3/3/16
- Look for establishment number P-9815 and case code 2444 on the package
- Do not eat the product
- Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it
- Call your doctor if you have any concerns about your health
