TorTrix pork rinds recalled due to import violation from ineligible country

Do not eat TorTrix pork rinds

DEKA Trading Corp. is recalling approximately 18,830 pounds of ready-to-eat pork rinds (chicharrón) sold under the brand TorTrix because they were imported from Guatemala, a country not approved to export meat products to the U.S. The products were distributed to retailers and wholesalers in Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia. No illnesses have been reported.

  • Do not eat TorTrix pork rinds in 5.3-ounce aluminum bags
  • Throw away the product or return it to the store where you bought it
  • Call USDA at 888-674-6854 if you have health concerns
