Sally Sherman Foods chicken salad recalled for possible Listeria contamination
Don't eat Sally Sherman chicken salad
Sally Sherman Foods is recalling about 3,000 pounds of chicken salad products made between February 2–18, 2016, because they may contain Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. The affected products are 4-pound containers of various chicken salad varieties sold in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. No illnesses have been reported so far.
- Do not eat Sally Sherman chicken salad products with packaging dates of Feb. 2–18, 2016 and case codes N-026, N-044, N-096, N-114, or N-184.
- Throw away the product or return it to where you bought it.
- If you are pregnant, over 65, or have a weakened immune system and ate this product, watch for fever, muscle aches, or headache within two months and call your doctor.
