Washington Beef boneless beef trim recalled for possible E. coli O157:H7
Don't use Washington Beef trim product
Washington Beef, LLC recalled 1,620 pounds of boneless beef trim (TRIM 65/35) produced on November 28, 2012, because it may contain E. coli O157:H7, a harmful bacteria. The product was shipped to grinding facilities and then distributed to restaurants, hotels, and institutions in Oregon and Washington. No illnesses have been reported.
- If you have this product, do not use it. Throw it away or return it to where you bought it.
- Cook all ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F (use a food thermometer to check).
- Call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-888-674-6854 with questions about food safety.
