Korean Farm ginseng chicken stew recalled for lack of U.S. import inspection

Korean Farm Inc. recalled approximately 14,610 pounds of ginseng chicken stew products made in South Korea that were not inspected at the U.S. border. The products were produced in August and February 2014 and shipped to retailers and restaurants in nine states. Without proper inspection, there is a potential health risk, though no illnesses have been reported.

  • Check your freezer for 1.87-lb. or 1.32-lb. pouches of Ginseng Chicken Stew with establishment number DGA 14001.
  • Do not eat the product; throw it away or return it to the store.
  • Call Korean Farm at (562) 789-9988 with questions about the recall.
